Incident Control, Drills and Exercises

Incident control is the handling of a TSI, HAZMAT spill or accident that takes place at the facility. Some facilities may refer to this as emergency response.

Whatever it is called, be aware and know what you expected role is. You may have an active part in incident response or be told to evacuate the facility.

Be prepared for an emergency at any time.

Drills and exercises are a regular part of facility.

• A drill is a training event that tests one part of a security plan.
• An exercise is a broader training event that invole communications, coordination, resource availability and response of all involved groups.
• You may be asked to participate in various drills and exercises. Take your role in these drills and exercises very seriously.
